Hell, even Merlin himself has picked up on it:

This is now officially "Door No. 1" of the Merlin Macro Advent Calendar. Each day I'll add a Merlin Macro - hopefully my muse will stick around until Christmas. And yeah, I am aware of the fact that I posted this on Nov 30. Enjoy anyway. :-)
I grinned like a maniac when the Director confirmed that YES,
Here's my take on Uther(!) and his little pink pal:

I just wish I could stay at home in my warm comfy bed tomorrow...um...make that all winter. :-D
First I had the cold...which went away pretty fast and I was like \o/...
Then came the stiff neck, stayed for a few days and is (almost) gone now.
And since this morning I'm having a stabbing pain in my back.
My weekend starts in 90 minutes! I must be healthy RIGHT NOW! *pokes pain to make it go away*
I'm getting old, it seems...but I'm really glad that there is a bathtub in my apartment...REALLY glad!
But I'm SO gonna go to work tomorrow, I HATE not being there on the first day of a new project. And I've stocked up on tea, sage bonbons, fennel honey and fresh fruit for the juicer, I'll make it through the day somehow.
*walks to the bathroom to see if the bathtub is already full*

I warmly recommend the New London Free Tour (yeah, FREE, but you will pay something in the end, otherwise you'll feel like a dick, 'cause the tour is great!) and Meininger Hostel in London. (I'd booked the 18 person dorm, but was upgraded and spent my vacation in a very comfy 6 person room, so I can't tell you what the big room is like - but the small one on the sixth floor was awesome and quiet!)
LOOOOOL, both "predictions" are so awesome!
(And I'd STILL prefer the world under Obama, pot, box turtles and all. *gg*)
Suddenly the world feels like a brighter place. Best of luck, Mr. President! Wheeeeeeeee!
Anyway, it will also be good to return home. And if it's only to keep the plants from dying... :-)
I think I'll take
Around 16:00 I'll head for the airport...
( After checking emails and news at the hostel I went to Victoria Station... )
Checkout time is 10 o'clock tomorrow morning, but I'll store my stuff at the hostel and roam the city one last time. I've still got 34 pounds or so that need to be eliminated... ;-)
Today the weather doesn't look much better, but at least it's not raining yet. I'm not completely sure what to do, but I guess I'll just take a train into the city first and go from there.
Around 6 this morning two more guys arrived in my room, but they were quiet and went to bed quickly as well. Now I'm waiting for
That said I will never move my feet again... *ouch* :-D
With hurting back and feet I stumbled towards Trafalgar Square - and right over a shop selling all kinds of Dr. Who merchandise. And just after I'd congratulated myself on not going on a shopping spree... Of course I bought the freaking Tardis in there...couldn't leave the shop without...and a poster. I'm doomed.
Anyway, after that I found refuge in the tube station St. James's Park, where I ate a jacked potatoe with cheese, then returned to the hostel to drop my stuff. It's brilliant to have the hostel so close by, you can always go back during the day to store your belongings or just chill out and check emails, then be on the way again.
Which I will be now as well...
It looks nice outside once more today. Cold, but sunny. I may even catch the free tour through London before meeting up with both,
Happy Halloween, everybody!!
( This morning... )
And btw.: It's really cold here, but at least sunny.
Of course I've forgotten something at home: shower and hair gel, but if that's all I'll survive. ;-)
Hey, you guys at work - I got H's SMS just when I was landing in Stansted. Take care and don't work too hard. :-D
So, now
Gotta go, folks...
Yo and behold, my first attempt at macro-ing:
( Two more under the cut )
This is SO much fun. *searches for more pictures*
As I had feared the halls of the Book Fair were packed at this time of day. (But what can you do, the interesting stuff only starts around midday.)
We pushed and shoved our way through millions of people...
( Drowning in the masses... )
Edit: I put a few more photos into the Book Fair 2008 gallery...enjoy. :-D

Balanced, Secure, and Realistic.
16 Impressionist, 14 Islamic, 16 Ukiyo-e, -26 Cubist, -35 Abstract and 16 Renaissance!

Impressionism is a movement in French painting, sometimes called optical realism because of its almost scientific interest in the actual visual experience and effect of light and movement on appearance of objects. Impressionist paintings are balanced, use colored shadows, use pure color, broken brushstrokes, thick paint, and scenes from everyday life or nature.
People that like Impressionist paintings may not alway be what is deemed socially acceptable. They tend to move on their own path without always worrying that it may be offensive to others. They value friendships but because they also value honesty tend to have a few really good friends. They do not, however, like people that are rude and do not appreciate the ideas of others. They are secure enough in themselves that they can listen to the ideas of other people without it affecting their own final decisions. The world for them is not black and white but more in shades of grey and muted colors. They like things to be aestically pleasing, not stark and sharp. There are many ways to view things, and the impresssionist personality views the world from many different aspects. They enjoy life and try to keep a realistic viewpoint of things, but are not very open to new experiences. If they are content in their live they will be more than likely pleased to keep things just the way they are.

At 0:36 h Obama talks about the allegations of the McCain camp concerning Ayers.
...
I was glad for not being an American when Bush was elected (and 4 years later, again). May I just say that I want to emigrate to the US once Obama is elected?
Oh, wait, I just heard: McCain: "Autism is on the rise." ~ uh, wut?
Ah, nevermind. Let's focus on Obama again. Can he not just become 'President of the World' while he's at it?? ;-)
Edit: Aaaaaahh, he's talking right into the camera!! Finally!! *melts*
Not really creepy so far, right?
There is, however, a bleach-blond Asian women on the first page who seems to call herself (and I quote) "Die Höchste Meisterin Ching Hai, weltbekannte Wohltäterin, Künstlerin und spirituelle Lehrerin" ("Supreme Master Ching Hai, world-famous philanthropist, artist and spiritual teacher").
"Supreme Master"? O-kay, sign of an immense self-confidence. But this rather laughable detail is not the only thing that may keep her from being successful with her - otherwise commendable - message in this country. Read what she says in the interview...

Good riddance.
I was twelve years old and remember that everyone said it was a big deal, because suddenly the country wasn't separated anymore. I understood that, but was wondering why people kept on talking about it days and days after the wall had came down.
Well, I guess I wasn't exceptionally interested in politics back then...
However, I loved the book "Ich schick dir Barnabas" ("I'll send you Barnabas"), a story about a boy living in a small town near the wall on the Eastern side who is forced to flee to the West with his parents and leave his best friend and their pet raven behind. His friend sends the raven out with a note tied to his leg and eventually he finds the boy, and from this moment on they stay in contact via letters Barnabas delivers to each side of the wall. Did anyone read this as a child? It's quite ancient, but I still love it.

In other news (the funny kind): Leaked: Homer To Vote For Obama
In an episode of 'The Simpsons' slated to run November 2, Homer Simpson will vote for Barack Obama. As Homer tries to vote for Obama, a machine changes the vote to McCain and proceeds to kill him.
The Emperor of Outworld is out for more than blood as Sub Zero and Liu Kang fight to the death.

A colleague sent me this. It's just hilarious. :-D
However, I still found time for some fun:
I'm proud to announce that, at the beginning of last week, I've enrolled at the infamous Bullworth Academy (Wii version).
Bully, also known as Canis Canem Edit, is a third person action-adventure video game released by Rockstar Vancouver for the PlayStation 2 on October 17, 2006 in the United States, and rereleased as Bully: Scholarship Edition on March 4, 2008 for the Xbox 360 and Wii.
The game takes place at Bullworth Academy, a fictional independent boarding school in the New England area of the United States. Jimmy ends up enrolled in the school when his newly married mother and fifth stepfather go on a year-long honeymoon cruise. The school is located in the also fictional town of Bullworth, which resembles Connecticut (this would also explain the high prevalence of 'Old money' and 'Nouveau Riche' influences). The school itself is a classical neo-gothic design and is similar to many other public schools and colleges in the United Kingdom. - taken from BullyWiki
( So far I've... )
The more I play and learn about this game the more I love it... :-)
